Kick Off : 10:30 Meeting Time :

well, what a way to end our last uncompetetive season!!! first i would like to say a big thankyou to all of our parents for religiosly ensuring our boys turn out smart and on time each week, I have to say i have really enjoyed this season and am very proud of what ALL of our boys have achieved. i would say pretty much all of the games this season have been played with strength, determination and outstanding teamwork from all of the boys.

anyhow on with the match report

the game started with some strong pressure in the first half from Little common but this was ably dealt with by matty who was on for a stormer of a game (matty is man of the match) or if it got past mat, ably dealt with by a strongly on form and consistant alexander, the ball rarely got past these two but common came close a couple of times from set piece corners.
Jake again played well in goal mopping up any balls that did get through, josh defended well on the courners and headers ably picking up his man and beating him to the ball as did william, we really came into our own though when we lifted a gear and went towards their goal, initially we struggled to get through on goal with some great touches and precision passing from robert and james however we sometimes took the ball 1 or 2 touches too far. We went into the second half nil nil. charlie curran came on for william just before half time and we kept the formation the same, second half we went into overdrive, with attack after attack on common, charlie curran playing well both attacking and defensively, and shortly into the second half charlie scored a corker of a goal. common came back hard against us but again some well timed tackles and last ditch tackles from matty with some of the best defending i have seen all season from him ensured they were kept out, mat carried out loads of quality throws today as well!!! common had a few close calls with alexander heading the ball out of our goal onto our crossbar preventing another chance and some strong and brave takles from alexander with play building from our defence through the midfield of charlie and Josh back up to the forwards of james and robert, james and robert worked very hard and were both unlucky not to score both with shots going wide or saved by the common keeper, 5 minutes to go william came back on for robert and with pretty much his first touch following him comming on scored a corker well done william, sedlescombe comfortably dominated the rest of the game and it was a great finish for a great league season

well done boys you are a pleasure to coach and i am very proud to be taking you forward into next season!!
