PARENTS:

1) Next League game, AWAY to JC Tackleway Tigers (Harrow Lane, playing field), Saturday 13 March. K.O. 10.00 am, but please ensure that your son is there by 09.30 am for the pre-match warm up. There is the possibility of a friendly afterwards - to be determined on the day.

Please let Barry know either by phone (01424 853251) or email (banderson2005@tiscali.co.uk) ASAP if your son cannot be there for any reason. Also please keep an eye on the website for updates.

It would also be helpful if parents could help out with taking the goal-posts down. If everyone chips in (rather than leaving it to the same volunteers all the time) it will will take only few minutes and spread the burden. Many thanks!

2) Training wil be held every Thursday night between 18.00 - 19.00 in the main hall at Hillcrest Sports Centre (Hillcrest school), St Leonards (unless indicated otherwise) for the duration of the Winter. Dean will be taking the training.

RESULT: HOME League Match, Saturday 27 February (played at Horntye Park) - Sedlescombe Rangers White 3 Hastings Town Blue 0. Excellent result boys. Well done! Match report to follow.

The League have re-arranged the Under 10 Combination Division into two new divisions, the Red and Blue. Sedlescombe Rangers White are now in the Under 10 Blue Division (Sedlescombe Rangers Blue are now in the Under 10 Red Division). The Whites currently lead the Under 10 Blue Division, so there is everything to play for.

RESULT: CUP game, Saturday 14 November: Bexhill Athletic 2 Sedlescombe Rangers White 0. Best team won on the day. We got caught by two early goals in the first-half from which we never quite recovered. However, second half we were much better and made more of a game of it and could well have scored in the dying minutes. Man of the Match: Morgan anderson; Team Player: Kai Thomas-Prause.

RESULT League game Saturday 31 October - Sedlescombe Rangers White 1 JC Tackleway Tigers 1. Difficult game, fair result. Goal(s): Joshua Ruck 1. Man of the Match: Joshua Ruck; Team Player: Jacob Boast.

RESULT: League game Saturday 24 October : Hastings United 1 Sedlescombe Rangers White 3. Excellent, well fought game and well deserved result: Goals: Shaun Stratton 2; William Badrock 1. Man of the Match: William Badrock; Team Player: Morgan Anderson.

RESULT: Saturday, 17 October - Sedlescombe Rangers White 5 Bexhill Town Youth 1. Great game, convincing win. Goals from Shaun 2; Liam 2; and Matthew 1 (Penalty). Man of the Match: William Badrock; Team Player: Kai Thomas-Prause.

Result: Saturday, 3 October - Hastings Town Blue 0 Sedlescombe Rangers White 3. Great result. Convincing win and clean sheet.

1) WHEN WE ARE PLAYING HOME GAMES AT THE SEDLESCOMBE PLAYING FIELD CAN YOU PLEASE NOT PARK ON THE GRASS VERGES OR THE ROAD LEADING UP TO THE FEILD AS THIS NEEDS TO BE KEPT FREE FOR ACCESS FOR THE EMERGENCY SERVICES AND ALSO FOR ACCESS TO PESTALOZZI SCHOOL. IF THE CAR PARK SHOULD BE FULL CAN YOU PLEASE PARK BACK OUT ON THE STREET OR IN SEDLESCOMBE.

Very well done boys against Hastings Rangers. Don't be disappointed by the result (0-2). Everyone played extremely well and created a number of scoring chances from which if luck had been on our side would have probably have led to a couple of goals. Man of the Match: Morgan Anderson; Team Player: (joint) Jacob (JJ) Boast/Adam Sims.

Friendly: Sedlescombe Rangers White 1 Hastings Rangers 1. Excellent game, great result. Goal(s): Matthew Rose 1.

Well-done against Glenco Yellow. Good spirited and sporting game. A draw or better would have been a fairer result than the 3-2 win for Glenco. Man of the Match: Matthew Rose; Team Player: Shaun Stratton. Goals Shaun Stratton 1; Joshua Ruck 1.

We will be in the Rother League for the 'new' season. There are 16 teams in the this League.

If you follow the attached link and click on Sedlescombe RangersU10 (as we are listed) you will be able to see our matches up intil the end of the year. (Note: Sedlescambe RangersU10 Blue are also in this League).

There will be a pre-season friendly with Hastings Town Blue on Saturday 12 September at the Sedlescombe playing field. K.O. will be 10.30 am, but please ensure that your son is there for 10.00 am for pre-match warm-up.
3) Completed East Sussex Mini Minor League (ESMML) Registration forms for season 2009-2010 need to be returned to Barry ASAP. For those of you who have not yet completed the form (e.g. because you are new to the Club or simply did not receive one), or these have simply become lost for whatever reason, new forms have been ordered and will be handed out as soon as these arrive.

New 2009-2010 Sedlescombe Rangers FC Registration and Fees form can be down loaded under CLUB DOCUMENTS TAB on the Main Home Page on the left hand side. Please complete and return as soon as possible to your manager. NEW payment structure for this season. Price for 2009-2010 will be ?100 (this includes Club Registration, FA Registration, Childs Insurance , Training Sessions and Match Fees). Various payment options are available. Managers/coaches will no longer take cash - so this should make it easier for everyone.

If you have any issues/difficulties in respect of the above then please contact me - Barry: Tel: 01424 853251; Email: banderson2005@tiscali.co.uk

Many thanks to all the parents who helped at the tournament today and the boys for their participation i was / am very proud of you all.

It would be helpful if you could let Barry know (tel: 01424 853251; Email: banderson2005@tiscali.co.uk) if your son cannot attend training. Unless we have a reasonable number of boys turning up each week it is not worth running the sessions.

Sedlescombe Rangers Tournament Sunday, 19 July. We didn't win any games but a good effort given that we were without a third of the regular team and introduced three new players (Matt, Josh and Sam) who have never played with us before. Once again thanks to Will for taking on the goal keeping responsibilities in Kai's absence.

Eastbourne Town FC 6-A-Side Tournament Sunday 5 July 2009. Very well done boys on reaching the semi-finals in the Under 9 age group. Absolutely brilliant results - coming top of your particular league (on 14 points) with 4 wins and 2 draws (no losses!). This was a great team effort from all the boys (who all played exceptionally well) against some pretty tough opposition. A special mention should go to William Badrock (Man of the Tournament) for stepping into the goalkeeper role (in Kai's absence) and doing such a magnificent job (as well as keeping a clean sheet for 6 games). I would also like to extend my thanks (as neither Gareth or I could be there) to Steve Gibbs for stepping into the breach at the last minute and doing such a fine job, and also to the parents for their continued encouragement and support of the team.

SEDLESCOMBE RANGERS PRESENTATION DAY (20 June ): A big thank you to all the boys and parents for turning up and making this such a successful day. (A special thanks allso to Kai and Will for turning up in spite of their "injuries"). Hope you all had a good time.

NEXT SEASON: Following discussion the Managers and coaches have elected for the (Under 9) Whites to stay in the East Sussex Mini Minor League (ESMML). (The (Under 9) Blues will be pulling out of the ESMML and joining the Crowborough League). The reasons for staying in the ESSML are two-fold. Firstly to concentrate on the training of the team before they need to build up to an 11 aside team; and secondly to limit travelling to the local area (teams in the Crowborough League are likely to need to travel far wider) and minimise the burden on parents.

East Sussex Minor League (ESMML) Presemtation Day, Saturday 9 May 2009 at Westfield Football Club. Results: Sedlsescombe Rangers White 0 Winkney 0; Sedlescombe Rangers White 2 Little Common Colts 0 (Goals Ryan and Jackson). Good results well played boys!

RESULTS: Saturday 2 May 2009
Sedlescombe Rangers White 0 Hastings United 0;
Sedlescombe Rangers White 1 Bexhill Youth 2.
Results didn't go your way but well played! Match reports to follow.

RESULT: League Game Saturday, 11 April 2009 - Little Common Colts 0 Sedlescombe Rangers White 2. Another great game. Match report to follow.

RESULT: League game Saturday 14 February: Bexhill Youth 3 Sedlescombe Rangers White 0.

There will be NO training at Claremont for the same reason. Surface is potentially dangerous when icy/frosty.

Hopefully we can get back to some football shortly. Keep checking the website for updates.

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and are looking forward to more football in 2009!!!

xxxxxxxxx MATCH THIS SATURDAY xxxxxxxx

Saturday 3rd January 2009
Away to Hastings United
(Pitch by BP Garage on the Ridge)
Arrive at 10:30am

IMPORTANT - due to this being arranged by the League during the Holiday break we need to know ASAP if you are able to attend this match. Please can you call either Gareth or Barry ASAP to confirm you can attend.

Thank you

GAME Away to Hastings Town Blue at Horntye Park TODAY( Saturday 13 December) CANCELLED DUE TO BAD WEATHER. NO TRAINING FOR SAME REASON.

It is unlikely that any of the League games recently postponed because of the bad weather will be re-arranged for this side of Christmas, but keep an eye on the website in case anything changes.

Assuming that this remains the case, on behalf of Gareth, Steve, Dean and myself we wish you and your families A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

PARENTS TO NOTE:

1) PLEASE LET BARRY/GARETH KNOW BY THURSDAY AT THE LATEST IF YOUR SON CANNOT PLAY.

2) IF GAMES ARE CALLED -OFF WE WILL ENDEAVOUR TO HOLD TRAINING AT CLAREMONT BETWEEN 11.00 - 12.00 ON THE SATURDAY.

3) PLEASE REMEMBER TO CHECK THE WEBSITE REGULARLY FOR UPDATES.

A REMINDER TO PARENTS that have not yet provided the (advance) ?36.00 payment (per child) for the use of the astro training facililties at Claremont (up to Xmas) that this is due now. PLEASE NOTE that because the Whites have LEAGUE games scheduled for every Saturday up until and including 15 November (with the exception of 1 November) it is unlikely that the boys will have any 'formal' training sessions (apart from possibly 1 November) until at least 22 November. Where LEAGUE games are played, and consequently training cannot take place (particularly in respect of AWAY matches) the training fee will be waived against the match fee (i.e. the match fee will be deducted from the ?36 payment made to cover the use of the Claremont training facilities). Hope this is clear!

Grateful if you could return the training fee to Barry/Gareth ASAP. Cheques should be made payable to Sedlescombe Rangers JFC. Thanks!

REMINDER: Parents to note:

1) Players not registered with the East Sussex Mini Minor League (ESMML) will not be able to take part in League matches. Registered Non League players will only be able o take part in Friendly (i.e. Non-League) matches.

2) There will no training prior to, or after, AWAY League matches.
************
Starting Saturday (13 September) we are introducing two League match awards for the boys: 1) Man of the Match and 2) Team Player

The aim is recognise the efforts of the boys and to encourage them to do well. It will not (necessarily) be about who scores the most goals. To keep it as impartial as possible the judgement will be made (as far as practicable) by the coaches in conjunction with the managers.

Man of the Match will aim to recognise the player who has demonstrated the most significant individual effort in that particular game

Team Player will aim to recognise the player who has made the most significant contribution to that particular game in terms of (selfless) influencing of its direction/outcome.

(It will be possible for a player to win both awards).

The winner of the awards will hold on to the trophy until the following week (parents please remember to hand the trophies back to Barry/Gareth at the next game), at which point they will be handed on to the next 'winners'. At the end of the Season the player receiving the most Man of the Match and Team Player awards will get to keep the respective trophy.

The first winners are:

Man of the Match: Adam Sims
Team Player: Morgan Anderson

But a big well done to everyone; all the boys played extremely well.

Parents to note:

1) That commencing this Saturday games will be taking place every week. It is hoped to organise friendlies immediately after League games and/or training depending on whether the team is playing home or away.

2) Match fees will be ?3.00 effective from now. Training at the Sedlescombe ground remains at ?2.00.

3) Players not registered with the ESMML will not be able to take part in League games.

IMPORTANT REMINDER: Parents please return your completed (and signed) Parents Code of Conduct forms to Gareth or Barry if you have not already done so. Thanks!
