The Royals girls were formed after Katie Noonan kept on at her dad John about getting a girls side started as many of her friends from school were interested in playing. coaching is currently carried out on friday nights between 7pm and 8pm at Claremont school astroturf. The training sessions are taken by Pete Morley and Mark Smith one of the girls Dads who is to manage the team. The progress of the team in a short spell of time has been amazing and because of this we have entered the team into the Crowborough league for girls where we are certain they will do well.
Pete Morley is a qualified coach who has passed his level one coaching certificate and is currently waiting for final assessment for the level 2 coaching certificate. pete holds both the emergency aid certificate and the child protection workshop certificate and has had full enhanced CRB check carried out
pete also coaches and manages sedlescombe under6 squad totalling 25 children of mixed ability, helps out Fred ham with the under 7's training, coaches the under nines along with fred ham and manages sedlescombe rangers under 9 whites squad.
Pete also coaches with keeps goalkeeping academy in Brighton.
Mark Smith has played football to a high standard for many years and is currently booked on to carry out his level 1 coaching certificate early this year and is looking forward to watching the girls team progress
